EA Bright Light Studios, UK are looking for talented animators
ANIMATION CONTRACTOR REQUIRED
EA Bright Light Studio located in Guildford, Surrey has an opening for experienced contract Animators to work alongside our internal development team on our Harry Potter franchise. The contracts are likely to start in October 2009 for at least five months.
EA is looking for an Animator with demonstrable experience in the gaming industry, preferably with experience working on PS3 and XBOX 360 platforms. Ideally contractors will have shipped a number of titles previously on these platforms.
•Strong Maya experience
•Experience using Motion builder
•Experience of Animating in game characters both key framed and motion captured
•Very strong understanding of principles of animation (weight; timing, arcs, follow through and overshoot etc.)
•Ability to produce quality artwork
•Self-motivated with good communication skills essential
•Experience in distributed development desirable

Mid-level 3DS Max Games Designer [London]
Inition are a 3D/ VR production company based in Shoreditch, London. Currently they are looking for a freelance mid level 3ds max designer to work in their London office. Some programming experience would be desirable however not essential.
Must have good knowledge and capabilities in, 3ds max: modelling, texturing & animation (understands rigging). The type of work we require would be refining existing car models and landscapes set within an existing car racing game. In some cases we will require new elements to be created.
The project may (TBC) last for a period of 6-8 weeks, so ideally looking for someone who is available in the next few weeks up until the middle to end of October.

Requirements:
- Experience with Maya, XSI or Motionbuilder.
- Strong Facial Animation Skills
- Strong Performance Animation skills
- Excellent ability to create realistic keyframe animation.
- Experience creating gameplay animation sets.
- Experience keyframing both humans and creatures.
- Experience with Motion Capture Animation.
- Strong Motion Editing skills.
Desired Skills and Pluses:
- 3-5 years animation experience in games/film.
- Knowledge of Mel Scripting and Character Rigging.

Our ideal candidate will:
- Join an exciting dedicated SFX team to design, conceptualize and animate real time effects for characters and environments on current and next generation platforms.
- Have 1/ 2 years experience in the games industry and have the ability to demonstrate outstanding visual effects.
- Be able to accurately render and animate realistic and fantasy elements in line with the overall game concept and physical principles
- Be responsible for all aspects of 3D and 2D effects work including, designing and conceptualising the effects, animating geometry and camera work

- Be able to demonstrate a high level of creativity and understanding of modelling, texturing, lighting and particles.
