3D Maya Lighters at Saddington Baynes in London (Freelance)
Saddington & Baynes, renowned industry pioneering leaders within the CGI print post-production industries are expanding their boundaries once again to incorporate high-end Visual Effects & Animation into their work-flow.
We are seeking junior to senior level lighters for ongoing freelance work. Please only apply if you are living in the UK and if you have had experience with stills. Whether you are a junior with an interest in specializing in Lighting and Shaders, or whether you are a highly experienced senior Lighting TD with extreme experience in Lighting and Shaders, we want to see your work!
You must be proficient using Maya/ Mental Ray and ideally with an ability to prep-comp (preparatory compositing) your work using Nuke or After FX. An intermediate level generalist knowledge of Maya/Mental Ray would also be highly valued.

Aardman Animation – Lighting and Shading TD (Short term contract)
Lighting & Shading TD – Short term contract Via Aardman.com

We are looking for a talented and experienced Lighting & Shading Technical Director to work in our CGI department at Gas Ferry Road.
The CGI department is involved principally in the production of commercials, and occasionally broadcast and short films. It is also involved in the CG aspects of Aardman’s Features slate.
You will be expected to provide support across the department in lighting/rendering and shading. Setting up lighting/shading workflow and providing complete lit shots on all CGI productions including commercials, short films and stings.
You should be highly proficient in Maya (including experience of MEL & Python scripting). Also, you should have an in-depth knowledge of Renderman (writing shaders in SL, RIB debugging , RMS usage and configuration) and must have experience in a production environment. You will also need proven compositing skills (After Effects, Fusion, Nuke). Experience in other areas of CG production would be a bonus.
You should be highly creative in both technical and artistic problem solving, with a positive and pro-active approach. We’d also expect you to be supportive and team focused , with strong communication skills. For more info, please see the attached job description.
