M2 Animation Studio is looking for an Animation Supervisor

Our 200+ M2 family is a melting pot of experienced talents and consist of more than 20 nationalities from all over the world.  Our range covers from storytelling to design, from modeling to texturing, from camera layout to animation and lightning, and from effects to color grading.  Right now, M2 Animation is looking for an Animation Supervisor to create TV Series, TVCs and High-Spec Short Format Films for our big-name clients. The artists in the team produces a variety of series-format animation: Tween, 2D, preschool etc.

The Position:
We are looking for a skilled, and friendly Animation Supervisor with strong management skills and who is happy to engage in collaborative discussions, to help us continue to produce high-quality visual images for a variety of script-to-screen formats of animation. The ideal candidate will have worked for at least 3 years as an Animation Supervisor at an international animation studio and have a proven record of success working as an Animation Supervisor.

In addition to managing and developing the structure of the Animation Department, the Supervisor will, together with the Animation Director, lead a team of talented artists by efficient time/task management, creating strong examples and guidelines, and implement a variety of procedures (technological and technique oriented) to improve the effectivity of the department.

To be successful in this role you need to be a true team player and passionate about helping to create the best environment for the production. You will collaborate with variety of stakeholders (Producers, Managers, Supervisors, Pipeline, and Artists) and you will have to be a good listener, sparring partner and be able to analyze input, prioritize needs and execute in partnership.

This position is open for residents of Thailand.

Skills and Technical Knowledge Requirements:

• Create top quality work following the correct rules of workflow and procedures for your department, set up by Producers, Director and CG Supervisor. (Shotgun, etc.)
• Ensure animation team know the proper pipeline and workflow procedures and practices, and train new, incoming artists.
• Work with Production Department, CG Supervisor & other Supervisors above you to analyze, understand, and help build schedules
• Make sure your team is set up correctly with the right amount of resources
• Collaborate with Production Department to advise on time, complexity, and priority estimates
• Work with Pipeline department and project TDs to solve technical issues and improve efficiency
• Ensure the department is following approved briefs, deadlines, quotas, and priorities agreed by the Production Department.
• Review all references before Kick Offs and before you begin work and identify and communicate any items that are missing or unclear.
• Communicate department & project status regularly to producers, CG supervisors and Head of Studio
• Previewing all materials and assigning tasks together with the Leads in the Department, and QC incoming files for your department.
• Attend Kick Offs and Daily Reviews
• Train, teach, inspire, mentor, monitoring and challenge your crew to reach the next level. We want our artists to be able to work independently!
• Able to understand, speak, read, and write in good English

Terms of employment, salary, and benefits will be individually negotiated.
