Scorch London is looking for a motion designer to join our team in Central London.

The right candidate:

• Highly skilled and fast user of After Effects. Keyboard shortcuts are burnt into your brain!
• Design trained to understand typography, movement and layout.
• Quick to understand a brief.
• Experience in working to very tight deadlines.
• Enjoys the creative challenge of working on several projects in the same week.
• Some experience in Cinema 4D is a bonus but not essential.

We work on just about everything, from short promo videos for iPhone apps, to TV commercials, to website landing page videos, to games trailers, to 3 minute long corporate presentations. The right candidate will be happy to take on whatever we throw at them with the same level of enthusiasm for each and every project.

We are looking for an artist with high level of skill in two of the following three applications: Maya, AFX, Cinema 4D. Work will start immediately and will ideally take place in our studio and on our machines, though we’re happy for artists to bring their own machines if preferred. The work is project-based and will take place over 20 days between now and mid November. It will involve working in a team under a project manager to create a 5 minute piece of 3D CGI for a large scale projection.

DisneyToon Studios is seeking a Layout artist to translate sequences from Storyboard into CG with an emphasis on flying.  This position reports to the Previs/Layout Lead. They are looking for a senior layout artist with extensive experience staging flying and fast action sequences. They would work directly with the Director, Art Director and the Previs/Layout Lead.

• How to Train Your Dragon

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree or equivalent experience desired
• Knowledge of Animation is a must
• Clear, Professional communication skills
• Able to field and address complex notes
• Experience with Lighting preferred
• Extensive knowledge of Maya is necessary

Additional Job Responsibilities may include:

• Working with Layout Lead and Art Director to design and build simple schematics for set models
• Preliminary Camera blocking to verify set feasibility for sequence needs.
• General sequence/shot layout responsibilities
