DreamWorks Animation is actively recruiting for some very exciting projects including “How to Train Your Dragon” and “Shrek Forever After”.  We will be in New Orleans for the annual SIGGRAPH conference August 3rd –7th. If you are planning to attend, we’d love to hear from you. Don’t worry about having to carry those cumbersome reels and resumes with you around the conference. Job Description and Responsibilities:

The Senior Animator must have a professional demo reel that demonstrates examples of high-end television or feature film non-character and character animation. Exceptionally strong cinematic skills are a must. Excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic and the ability to take direction are essential.

Job Description

  • Animate dynamic, believable and appealing non-character and characters assets
  • Deliver animation assets on time and at a high level of quality
  • Clearly communicate progress and issues
  • Be willing to understand and act upon direction

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years VFX experience working on episodic television and/or feature films
  • Expert knowledge in Maya – this is a senior level position
  • Ideal candidate will be a strong visual storyteller and well-versed in cinematography: camera angles, composition and continuity
