M-I-E is looking for a middleweight motion designer with solid 3D skills, to work in-house, full-time. You must have both 2D and 3D Animation expertise, strong graphic design skills, with the ability to work in a fast paced environment, and easily adapt to the studio working methods.

We are looking for creative thinking individuals, with client-facing skills, who strive to constantly push their own creative limits. You must have very strong working knowledge of Cinema 4D and be proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator and After-Effects.

At M-I-E you will be working with clients, directors, animators and producers. You will work on 3D and 2D animation projects, designing style frames, storyboards and animation, across media like music videos, 3D projections, TV idents and promos, commercials, trailers, etc.

The Motion Designer in the NGC Creative Marketing department is responsible for the design and execution of motion graphics elements for a broad range of projects that will help define the National Geographic Channel aesthetic. We’re looking for an individual with exceptional taste, innovative skills, and a passion for broadcast design & animation.


Conceptualize, design, and execute graphical elements for series, stunts, specials, and network uses that are on-brand, of the highest quality, and delivered on-time. These graphics will often need to balance the core idea of the program with the look of the channel.

Work collaboratively alongside the creative director, print and digital designers to help ensure the elements created are consistent across platforms.


  • BA degree in design or similar degree
  • Strong creative and design skills required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills necessary.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects
  • Basic math and logic skills needed as they apply to animation
  • MAC computer experience mandatory, strong knowledge of After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop, Final Cut Pro, Maya and/or Cinema 4 D, and other design software (MAC format).

We’re looking for a Production Manager (full-time, permanent employment contract, c. £33,000 – £35,000 pa) to join our team in our bright, modern studios in the heart of Folkestone’s Creative Quarter.

Our production processes already work well, but our work slate is expanding and we’re always looking for continuous improvement in everything that we do, so we’ve now created a new Production Manager role to focus on managing and honing our processes from client brief to final delivery. We’re looking for someone with solid experience of production management within an animation studio (or similar environment) who can bring a consultative and focused approach to our creative studios and who will lead and develop our brilliant creative team. The Little Prince is looking for a Senior Rigger to join its team in Montreal.

The Little Prince, based on the beloved book by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, is an Animated Feature Film directed by Mark Osborne (Kung Fu Panda) with Production Design by Lou Romano (The Incredibles) and Character Design by Peter De Sève (Ice Age). It is being produced by Onyx Films and animated at Mikros Image Canada in Montreal.

The Senior Rigger, under the supervision of the Character Supervisor, is responsible for creating and implementing rigging systems.

Duties and Responsibilities:
– Create and implement Rigging systems, tools, scripts, etc.
– Provide technical expertise on rigging issues.
– Work with modeling department to ensure that models are suitable for rigging.
– Work with Animation Supervisor to ensure rigs are intuitive and responsive for each character.
– Troubleshoot and problem solve.
– Complete tasks with minimal supervision.
– Understand Studio Pipelines.
– Communicate with other departments.
– Ensure integration of assets in to the pipeline.

– Possess an excellent working knowledge of Maya
– Have strong scripting skills in Mel and Python.
– Have strong technical background in Rigging.
– Is Detail-Oriented.
– Able to work in a team environment.
– Able to communicate creative and technical thoughts and ideas.
– Able to multi-task and prioritize.
– Able to meet deadlines and follow directions.
– Strong artistic skills.
– 5+ years production experience on theatrical feature films.
