Job Description

M2 Animation Studio is looking for Senior, Intermediate & Junior 3D Animators. Our 200+ M2 family is a melting pot of experienced talents and consist of more than 20 nationalities from all over the world.  Our range covers from storytelling to design, from modeling to texturing, from camera layout to animation and lightning, and from effects to color grading.  Right now, M2 Animation is looking for Animators to create TV Series, TVCs and High-Spec Short Format Films for our big-name clients. The artists in the team produces a variety of series-format animation: Tween, 2D, preschool etc.

The 3D Animator Position:
We require positive-thinking, eager, and passionate 3D Animators with strong interpersonal skills to join our multinational studio and help us create world-class animation. We need 3D Animators who have the technical understanding of how his/her work affects the other departments that use the work delivered.
Our new 3D animators should be willing to learn new techniques, take direction and take criticism in a professional manner and not least deliver high quality of work, on time, with minimal supervision.

As Animator, you must be skilled in the principles of animation – both creatively and technically – and be willing to push yourself to achieve the best results that you can. You should have a strong eye for High Quality animation and details. You must be willing to adapt to new styles, able to work with a team and take direction from our Animation Director, follow delivery requirements from production management, and follow technical requirements from TDs and CG Supervisors. You must be confident to speak up when direction is not clear, and able to take constructive criticism in a professional, and open-minded manner. We prefer 3D animators already living in India.

Skills and Technical Knowledge Requirements for the 3D Animator position:

  • Highly proficient/solid foundation with Autodesk Maya
  • Knowledge and experience using Shotgun – or willing to learn.
  • Strongly understanding the principles of animation, lip-sync, and camera composition
  • Excellent understanding & ability with the principles of animation and layout (camera movement)
  • Block movements in rough animation, refine and polish to completion in final animation
  • Able to plan your own time to meet deadlines
  • Understand and communicate in English
  • We prefer an animator that can do layout as well
  • Nice to have, but not required: Able to animate in Flash, Toon-boom, or other 2D software, or any other artistic skills or program knowledge.

Terms of employment, salary, and benefits will be individually negotiated.
The position is open from now, and will be a one year contract.
