Infographic Animator – Consultant Work (26 June – 28 July FTC)
The British Red Cross currently has a rare and exciting project for an Infographic animator with extensive experience in producing high-quality information videos.
The British Red Cross helps millions of people in the UK and around the world to prepare for, respond to and recover from emergencies, disasters and conflicts.
The short (3-5 minute) video will be on the Red Cross Red Crescent ‘Surge Optimization Process’. The aim of the video is to help Red Cross staff and volunteers across the world better understand the transformative changes being made in how we surge people, goods and equipment in large-scale emergencies; such as earthquakes, famine-situations and conflict.
The consultant will work closely with the project leads in the Global Emergencies team at British Red Cross and the International Federation of the Red Cross to develop a storyboard from an existing script and provide post production, editing, subtitling and voice over recordings.
Required knowledge and skills
Experience of creating animated data graphics, and info graphics essential, and exemplified by an outstanding portfolio of design work for video
Must be highly proficient in After Effects, Illustrator and Photoshop> Advanced level skills in After Effects, Adobe CS Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat Professional), working knowledge of Adobe Premiere and Final Cut Pro desirable
Mac literate and good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Be able to work under direction from project lead and from initial briefs supplied by clients to develop ideas/concepts/layouts through to supplying final video animations.
