Motion Graphics Designer, Trailer Park

Trailer Park are looking for a full time Motion Graphics Designer who is extremely proficient in After Effects & Cinema 4D. They must be highly creative with a strong eye for design and driven by an ambition to create inspiring entertainment and branded content. This includes anything from motion graphics within trailers or promos or creating animations or assets from scratch. The role suits someone who is committed and works well under pressure, but most of all has lots of passion & enthusiasm.

Key Responsibilities & Objectives


  • Strong understanding of design, typography, colour and composition
  • Passionate about solving design problems and developing original visual solutions
  • Collaborate with Creative Directors, Creative teams, Directors and Producers to effectively interpret their vision, whilst participating in the creative process and offering your own ideas in order to develop and deliver best in class creative solutions
  • Pro-actively test & learn best solutions/tools for a job; demonstrate a constant development of skills and exploration of new techniques
  • Keep abreast of the latest technologies and methods and help to promote, trial and implement them within Trailer Park
  • Pro-active approach to self-development; constantly looking to enhance and broaden individual skillsets and the range of work/capabilities Trailer Park is able to offer in-house
  • Keep abreast of new design styles & social media trends
  • Inspire creativity within all briefs/design work
  • Develop strong relationships with Designers, Creatives and Editors throughout Engine, encouraging collaboration wherever possible


  • When required, manage junior members of the department; taking responsibility for their creative output and workflows
  • Help with the development and training of the junior members of the team
  • Build a strong relationship with our LA office; develop a full understanding of the team, their capabilities and processes, seamlessly working with them as required
  • Constantly look to improve methods and ways of working
  • Work closely with the Producers to ensure projects stay on schedule and in budget
  • Proven ability to be fully client facing and lead presentations & reviews, facilitating feedback and amends when necessary

3. TECHNICAL SKILLS, PROCESS & QUALITY CONTROL: Set best practices and lead by example

  • Ensure CI guidelines are understood and adhered to and that consistency is maintained for each client
  • Interrogate all delivery specs, ensuring all projects are delivered to exemplary standards
  • Accurately archive all projects, rushes and raw footage. Help to enforce media management and archiving processes across the post-production department

Essential Requirements:

  • Stand out portfolio/reel
  • Excellent knowledge of After Effects and fundamental practices such as compositing, motion tracking and rotoscoping
  • Excellent knowledge of Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator and an ability to produce bespoke digitally-drawn assets from scratch
  • Excellent knowledge of Cinema 4D
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro
  • Excellent communication and organisation skills, file management and attention to detail
  • A passion for 2D motion graphics design and animation, with the ability to animate a variety of styles & techniques
  • Innovative and creatively minded; must be able to add their own flair to a project
  • A self-starter who can work under direction; independently or within a team
  • Proven ability to stay calm under pressure with the ability to effectively manage multiple projects and tight deadlines
  • Good knowledge of industry standard cameras and experience working with high end camera footage (Red Epic, Arri Alexa)
